This East Bay premier showing of “Pickaxe” a film that documents the inspirational grass roots campaign to defend Oregon’s Warner Creek Forest will be presented by cinematographer and forest activist Tim Ream. Tim Ream is on a 40-city road show and will speak after the screening.

This film is an awesome account of what forest defense is about... it features many strong dedicated womyn and men in the struggle to for the earth! if you're at all interested in environmental issues, definitely check this out--it might also give you a better idea of what's going on at the mattole forest campaign.

Last night's showing was better than i hoped it would be, . I reccomend that any forest anyone interested in enviromental and social activism GO to the showing (if Tim's comming anywhere near your town) and get as many people as you can it go with you!
Also, Jim Page's songs were well appreciated
