I get so frustrated seeing sentiments like this being expressed. I love my country but have some problems with the current state of things. Is it not "patriotic" to work toward change to make things better? Telling people to leave the country because they do not support a "president" that took office under dubious circumstances and then proceeded to engage the country in a global conflict with an endless scope just comes across as ignorant.

I can't desribe the double whammy of grief that has been forced upon us on 09/11 and then again on 10/07. The greatest of fools must know that the Afgan cities, already in rubble from the Soviet destruction, could not sustain 12 twelve days of bombing, without many thousands of innocent deaths as direct and indirect results. Here in America we held a day of prayer for the 6000 we lost in the WTC attacks. I did not hear one word of prayer for the 1/2 million children of Iraq who have died as a result of American sanction on that country. We expect military men to die on both sides. That is the job and the glory of soldiers. But when the killing goes to babies (children) as a foregone conclusion, those who order such destruction are clearly the enemies of Almighty God the Creator. In 1996, Madeleine Albright [Albright? What an ironic name.], then the US secretary of state, was asked on national television what she felt about the fact that 500,000 Iraqi children had died as a result of US economic sanctions. She replied that it was "a very hard choice", but that, all things considered, "we think the price is worth it".
We have somehow allowed the criminally insane to govern.

'Love it or leave it'.I hear that comment alot coming from the patrotic, nationalistic crowd. Many of these people think that they are protecting freedom when they invest these types of attitudes, but really they are just doing the opposite. When they take the 'if you don't like America, then get out!' stance, then they are in oppostion to the freedom of the first ammendment that they say they are defending with their patrotism. They are hypocrites. If they are truly concerned with freedom and democratic priciples then they would respect others right to voice their opinions.
