Financial Secrecy At Working Assets

by bob f.
Working Assets should disclose more financial information about its $140 million-plus for-profit telecommunications/alternative radio enterprise.
Only 1% of the $140 million-plus that Working Assets takes in from its telecommunications/alternative radio business each year is redistributed to social change groups. But Working Assets has still not revealed what happens to the 99% of its revenues which it doesn't redistribute. Nor has Working Assets revealed the annual salary/compensation figures for either its top business executives or its Working Assets Inc.-reporters. One of the reporters involved in the Working Assets radio operation apparently was also given a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation last year. The Rockefeller Foundation, with assets of $3.6 billion, used to include a director of British Petroleum on its board of directors. The current chairman of the Rockefeller Foundation Board, J. Orr is the chair of United Asset Management, a subsidiary of South Africa's Old Mutual plc money management/insurance/investment firm. Another member of the Rockefeller Foundation board is an ex-deputy to the U.S. Undersecretary of STate for Global Affairs. Other Rockefeller Foundation board members include a managing director of the World Bank and a member of the U.S. Government's National Endowment for Democracy.

Working Assets should now start disclosing more information about the extent to which it is presently profiting from a corporatist global society which is dominated by the U.S. Military-Industrial-Media-Foundation Complex.
