Marriott Strike Update

As the strike at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in San Francisco enters its sixth week a settlement is not in sight. Nonetheless, said union organizer Lorraine Powell, "the strike is having an impact on occupancy." According to Powell, "guests are not being informed of the strike when making reservations." Some guests become irate when they arrive and find a strike in progress. At present no negotiations are under way.
