Pacific Lumber's logging practices are resulting in severe long term adverse environmental impacts! How long are these Corporate Criminals going to get away with destroying our watersheds. Its time to put a stop to the blatent disregard for our environment, our health, and our livelyhood. Boom and Bust Logging has ruined the logging economy, hurt the logging community and has led to widespread landslides and flooding which is a dangerous hazard to public safety. As a community, both locally and globally, we must come together and say NO! No more Destruction. No more Clearcuts! We must care for our environment...because it takes care of us!
Please Help by Supporting Local Forest Defense Groups!!!! We Save Trees is currently under attack by P.L. Logging! The Lower Village Needs Your Help!!!! Call us at 707-845-5491 or email us at wesavetrees [at] ziplip.com!!!
Pacific Lumber has upped the rate of cutting in Freshwater 4 Times.....going from cutting 1% of their holdings in Freshwater annually...therefore cutting all their land in 100 years, to logging 4% in Freshwater, which means all their land is logged in 25 years! Thats not long enough for the first trees cut to be large enought to cut again! This is Not Sustainable!!!! but California Dept. of Forestry has approved ir as such under the Sustained Yeild Plan! One of the THP's being cut now is residual oldgrowth Redwood!
§End The Destruction!
