Maxxam's Carl Anderson, Rich Bettis and Climber Eric Schatz are in force with CHP blocking the road in the Freshwater area evicting the treesitters.

A film crew was hired and is supposed to be on scene. The AP has been hanging around all weekend and the eviction was kinda expected to happen this morning, Monday March 17, 2002, 9:00am.

The treesits are off of Greenwood Heights Road off of Freshwater Road up the hill from Three Corners Market off of Old Arcata Road between Eureka and Arcata.

If you insist on acting like animals I think you should be darted with a tranqulizer. You wouln't go up a tree and fight with a bear. You act like a animal you should be treated as same.t

A confidential police memo, part of a dossier obtained under the Sunshine Ordinance, acknowledges the SF Police Department has been monitoring this web site, using undercover officers to spy on antiwar protesters, and apparently collecting personal information about political dissidents, the SF Bay Guardian reported.

It looks like they also post right-wing fascist comments too, like the two just above.
