PL Loggers Fall Jerry

by Kristina
Tree sitter removed. PL loggers limb tree in preparation for falling. Activists take to the woods to protect old growth redwood. Sherriffs in pursuit.
After removing "Amity" this morning from the top of this 200ft. tree in a way that put both her life and that of "Climber Eric" at risk, Pacific Lumber / MAXXAM has begun falling the old-growth redwood named Jerry.
At Approximately 1:35 pm on Thursday M20, PL Loggers began limbing Jerry - the old growth Redwood protected for nearly a year by Remedy. Forest activists scattered into the woods to protect the tree. (They can't fall a tree if it might hit someone) Sherrifs are arresting and detaining activists in vans as the limbing continues in preparation for falling the grand tree. The situation is tense and intense.

Hey, even though I'm only eight, I have something to
say, too. My mom is Tree Mom and my brother is out
in the redwoods, helping. He is helping me as well as
well as the trees. How is he helping me? I have always
wanted to see an old growth redwood tree and he is helping my dream come true. He will come home for
my 9th B. day but he will go back and I might go with
him and Tree Mom, of course. Now I'll get to the point.
It's almost over...aaaa! 1.Either all the trees will be cut down and gone (Eeeeeeekkk!!!) OR 2.the treesitters will have stopped the cutting.....FOREVER!! This all means in a month or two it will all BE over! I hope number 2 is the one.
Well, I hope this letter got you peoples thinking, thinking trees. P.S. Tree Mom, why didn't you take me
when you went to visit the redwoods?!

Puhleees! You have got to be kidding me! This is exactly the mindset that stems from a biased and indoctrinated education. It's sad. Last of the oldgrowth? I've had enough of you people ignoring the parks. Oldgrowth is a non issue. There is gobs of it, so much that you probably can't visit every single tree in your lifetime. I do not criticize the young writers lack of perspective only his teachers'.
by Rise up!
The ancient redwood known as Jerry is still standing. Though nearly all of his branches were cut off and a couple of top trunks, the tree is still alive and is occupied by tree-sitters. Mutilating the tree in this way is a desperate act done by desperate criminals. They are not winning in freshwater and they are wasting huge amounts of money on the evictions. There are more tree-sits in freshwater now than when the evictions started and they have cut only two formerly occupied trees.
