Tuesday, April 1st will mark a historic point in the struggle for civil rights in this country. What happens on this day will determin the state of our and our children's future for generations to come. The Federal Supreme Court will be hearing two affirmative action cases from the University of Michigan. Two cases that have been in the middle of a long, hard battle for civil rights and social justice for minority communities in this country. On April 1st, BAMN, in collaboration with hundreds of local and national organizations, churches, and student activist groups, will converge upon the Supreme Court to voice our active defense of affirmative action and our determination to build a new civil rights movement to fight for more than just a piece of the pie. We are going to be there to let the nation know that we are fighting for true, real equality and full racial integration. We will not stop at the Supreme Court. We will fight until we win.
