Today, farmers, indigenous activists, agri-fighters, health advocates, students, women's groups and, yes, some of our very own Bay Area local radicals spelled out No OMC! (No WTO!) on a Cancun beach during the protest against the World Trade Organization.

With reports that the IMC is being strictly monitored, many people are trying to pull together media that will reach a... wider audience. The word from Cancun is that many of the foreign internationals fear deportation, but over four hundred of them have volunteered to block arriving delegates at the airport, even though, if arrested, it would mean they couldn't participate in the big action on Wednesday. Needless to say, the people are out in force, and this stunt was just one of many to let the world know how people feel about the WTO and it's power grab to rule the world through one giant trading frenzy and its big "F-U" to environmental and health standards.. .
Stay tuned for upcoming reports from Bay Area locals braving the heat, even under all their body armour in Cancun...
