Lake Merritt Neighbors Organized for Peace has weekly peace walks around Lake Merritt in Oakland. Enjoy conversation with like-minded people as we walk around beautiful Lake Merritt, the 1st wildlife refuge in the United States & still a bird refuge. Amongst the wild birds recently sighted has been Mayor Jerry Brown walking his dog.
