I don't know if you're putting this out for neutral informational purposes, but it is a real mistake to actually promote David Icke's position. There is a rule on the internet that you're not supposed to toss around the word 'fascist' and compare every little political thing to Hitler, but Icke technically has promoted fascist ideals. anarchists and antiauthoritarians in Vancouver, Seattle, and England have turned out to protest this guy. Just take a look on google.
In addition to supporting fascist ideals, he is also probably mentally ill, with delusions. People who knew him from his early background in the greens say that he has gone off the deepend, and he openly describes his notions that many people on earth are really reptilian 'shapeshifters', and you can tell who the real humans vs. the lizards are by some detail in the pupils of their eye. Really - he has said this.
by Peter Morris
I just wondered if you could qualify some of your statements with actual substance.

"Icke technically has promoted fascist ideals"

How? If you could please identify a part of David's work which has promoted fascism, I would be most grateful if you would share it with the rest of us.

Perhaps your assertions come from the fact that he has been (most unfairly) tagged anti-semitic. It would appear that the only evidence "anarchists and antiauthoritarians" as you put it, have to support this theory is the fact that David refers to certain bloodlines as "reptilian". They assert that this is code for "Jew/Jewish" people. Anybody who has given David's research even a cursory glance, can quite easily see that when David says reptilian/reptiles he means just that.

Personally, I think it's very narrowminded to completely dismiss 13 years of research out of hand without even the briefest glimpse at the content. This guy has written circa 2.5 million words on these subjects in the past decade. He can conduct a 7 hour lecture on the subjects with ease.

You don't have to buy his ideas wholesale. All the man is doing is supplying sourced (and for the most part thoroughly documented) information which is not available in the mainstream.

Its up to you to make up your own mind about David Icke, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do just that. Make up your own mind. Don't let other people determine your perception of someone based on a brief "google" search. Listen to one of his many radio interviews (http://www.rense.com). Even if you don't agree with the man's ideas, at the very least I'm sure that you will find the discussion stimulating

yeah, Icke is right maybe 90% of the time. but can you afford to believe him? you've invested your life and your children's lives in the ongoing lie. to stop now is likely as the U.S. pulling out of Iraq. not only will U.S. stay in Iraq but expand into other countries till U.S. itself is utterly bankrupt. it's like God's will, ain't it?

To all conclusions, anyone that has been brought up in one room of a house for the whole of their life would fight down any ridiculous talk or waterfalls rivers and oceans etc, etc.
If reality is all that your perceptions are subject too they would all seem ludicrous ideas and rediculous. After reading over 2 billion words of evidence investigation, and 2 million of that being most of Davids work, what he says makes perfect sense. I wish it didnt as i wouldnt mind an easy life, but the potential of it all is that if this world is a world of ludicrous fantasy and beyond the spectrum of human perception, when free we have a much more expansive canvas of reality to call our own.

Unless you can define the finer mechanics and workings of the world around you in the most extreme scientific explanations, to say someone is mad, is only to confirm how ignorant you are in understanding what makes them seem so.

In this universe we are told infinty is a concept, yet when someone goes beyond the beyond, we are "nuts", What if you read the evidence to support that claim that it was truth, does that make you nuts too, its all a matter of perception.

Would you believe i left school with no qualifications?. Now if your thinking aaah hes not a university lecturer on quantum physics, i can rip what he says to shreds and not look like an idiot, as he is not as intelligent.

"Intelligence invented the bomb, lack of wisdom let it off"

If you ever would believe that the truth of the universe was subject to the limitation of the human mind, your arrogant and ignorant, because it far exceeds all limits of man made ceilings of understanding. Only 300 years ago we were calling the world flat, thick monkey thinks he know everything.

Infinite possibilitys only happen when you start to transcend your thinking above the so called norm, how do you think Scientists make breakthroughs?. Inspiration from the intelligence of that which we dont know.

David Ickes theorys are more real than you care to know, it doesnt make sense in a soundbite, there again if only you stepped out that door, from your room you would see something truly amazing.

This is for those who question only with an intent to find the truth, not to ridicule. The rest I'll love you and leave you.

The Amount of unconditional love shown by people who would rather kill David Icke, has shown me what a wonderful beauty he is, hes pushing all bondarys back.

no... look, David Icke experienced the onset of schizophrenia. Genes for conditions that are deleterious always naturally are selected until they are very rare and occur when two heterozygote carriers have a baby carrying both genes. Schizophrenia occurs much more frequently than one would expect, affecting .5% of the population. This can lead us to believe that there can be selection for the gene in some cases. Otherwise, even if people carrying a specific gene have only 2% fewer children on average, the gene will reduce down to about 1/10000. In my experience, it seems like some schizophrenic people are able to be very charismatic and become religious type leaders with a following, and perhaps they have lots of kids and this is why the gene is so frequent. it does not mean that schizophrenic delusions have some basis in reality though.

Having starting reading some of Mr Ickes work I can say that he is a genius.

Whether you agree or disagree with his theories he has the ability to shatter our limited sense of reality and free your mind.

I know people get hung up on the whole reptilian thing but in my view this is more of a symbol for something we cant quite describe properly yet.

Anyway the ideas and theories in his books are no more suprising than the words in the book of Revelation.

On a seperate note, schizoprhenia and other mental illness are still new phenomenon with relatively little research done into them. Our Westen Medicine tell us they are bad and nothing but an imbalance of brain chemistry. I find this hard to believe because EVERYTHING else in life has more than one dimension, nothing is that black and white.
by Observer
Indeed. I personally know of at least one other person with a similar brand of schizophrenia to Mr Icke. He (and no doubt many others) display certain common characteristics:
A real fear of (and determination to unmask) devious, sinister, and incredibly convoluted conspiracies.
An exceptionally exhalted opinion of themselves ('I am the only one who can save the world').
Absolutely no qualms in accusing others of the nastiest, most despicable activities.
A fascination with 'shapeshifters' (my associate is convinced he is part werewolf). This is caused, I believe, by a symptom of the illness which gives the illusion that the sufferer's body is changing in some way.
A strange way of thinking in which unrelated facts are presumed to be linked, especially if they have a certain 'weirdness'.
Reaching profound conclusions on the basis of the flimsiest evidence - sometimes just a single word.
Extreme OTT reactions to certain words, phrases, or insignificant events.
Very angry and petulant reactions towards anyone they believe is not showing them the respect they 'deserve' (see Icke's own reaction - link above).
An inability to understand and empathize with another's motives, feelings, wishes, etc.
So there you have it. Anyone wishing to understand more about this strange illness could do a lot worse than read some of Icke's ramblings; but as a means to understand the real workings of the world, he's a non-starter.

Thanks for the input, I too know someone who has been diagnosed shizophrenic, with all of the symptoms you mention. But may I point out that you seem to have missed one of the most important obsessions, that of MIND CONTROL.

I have seen this develop from what is probably the most widely-known manifestation of schizophrenia, that of hearing voices inside one's head.

These voices seem to know exactly what the sufferer is doing or thinking; and the victim, knowing full well that he himself is not producing these thoughts, concludes that some outside agency must be responsible. It therefore follows that this agency ("They" - the sinister "Watchers") can read his mind, or are continually watching him.

Thus begins the search to uncover those responsible, and to protect oneself from their attempts to control his mind. The search eventually culminates in the 'discovery' of some sort of gigantic conspiracy, masterminded by the CIA, FBI, MI5, The Brotherhood, Martians, etc., who have access to all kinds of high tech microwave equipment to accomplish their sinister ends.

Add to this the 'fact' that the same thing (alien mind control) must obviously be happening to EVERYONE, but the victim, of course, is the only one who actually realizes it, and we can see how it becomes the schizophrenic's main purpose in life to inform the world of his astounding discovery. He really believes he is doing us a service.

So here is where Mr. Icke comes in. He has told us much about his 'discoveries', but nothing at all about how it all started - what set him off on this tack. I hope these comments will fill in a few of the gaps, and perhaps aid in understanding this most bizarre of illnesses.

Love him or hate him, he does raise some interesting points.
