The rally and action was staged to protest the destructive logging practices of Maxxam/Pacific Lumber and other lumber corporations in the area. The activist are asking the companies to end:

1. clear cutting
2. logging on steep slopes
3. old growth logging
4. spraying herbicides

Three were arrested in the action, two activists and a bystander.
