2/5: Madera to be invaded by anti-gays

by Queer California listserv
The Campaign for Children and Families (CCF), a Sacramento-based group, has called for two rallies this month in support of traditional
marriage and in opposition to AB 19. The "California Rallies to Protect Marriage" will take place in Madera on February 5, and in Sacramento on February 14.
HI ALL,

GOOD News! We have managed to run the biggots out of FRESNO! Hip hip Hooray! They are trying to be sneaky by holding their anti-gay event in Madera, just 10 minutes away! We are not stupid though! We ran them out of our front yard, now let's get them out of our backyard!

I received a phone call from Molly (MECA/EQCA Director) today and she was hoping that we could have some representation in Madera on Saturday! (Please read below) If anyone can make it please let me know A.S.A.P. by replying yes. I will then e-mail tomorrow evening and let you know the meeting point. The courthouse is very easy to find and right off the freeway. 12 minutes tops! Beky will be your contact person at the protest.

California Marriage Rallies

Pro-family activists in California are waging a similar battle against legislation that would legalize homosexual marriage in that state. AB
19, says one pro-family group in the Golden State, would "push San Francisco-style 'homosexual marriage licenses' in every community" and
"trash" the people's March 2000 vote on Proposition 22, a measure that defines marriage as between a man and a woman.

The Campaign for Children and Families (CCF), a Sacramento-based group, has called for two rallies this month in support of traditional
marriage and in opposition to AB 19. The "California Rallies to Protect Marriage" will take place in Madera on February 5, and in Sacramento on February 14.

CCF president Randy Thomasson says if pro-marriage advocates do not show up at the rallies, their message will not be heard. "The media and politicians won't know that you care about protecting the sacred institution of marriage," Thomasson says in a press release.

"Please interrupt your schedule and show the media that you really care about marriage staying between a man and a woman."

The Madera rally is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Madera Courthouse
Park

GET ACTIVE: Valentine's Day Marriage Rally

Monday, Feb. 14 at 12 noon -- State Capitol

Please download CCF’s marriage rally flyer to distribute to others this week and to use in churches this coming weekend.

Stand up for the sacred institution of marriage for a man and a woman with other Californians on Valentine’s Day, Monday, Feb. 14, at 12noon (ending no later than 1pm) at the State Capitol in Sacramento.

From wherever you are in California, come to the State Capitol in Sacramento to join other pro-family citizens to oppose AB 19, the “homosexual marriage license bill” being pushed by at least 25 Democrat politicians in the California State Legislature.

Please prioritize coming if you can. If you don’t show up, the media and politicians won’t know that you care about protecting the sacred institution of marriage. Please interrupt your schedule and show the media you really care about marriage staying between a man and a woman, a husband and wife!

Join CCF President Randy Thomasson and other exciting speakers, and rally to save marriage from the real and present danger of AB 19.

Sponsored by Campaign for Children and Families, the Valentine’s Day Save Marriage Rally on the North Steps of the State Capitol (at 10th and L Streets) will begin at 12 noon and end by 1 p.m.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
