The Kissinger File

by Wilfried Huismann
Pinochet barely got away with it. Milosevic was not so fortunate. He was arrested and then extradited to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague. Both one time heads of state stand accused of Crimes Against Humanity - both were dictators. Henry Kissinger, however, could be the first representative of a democratic country to stand before the Hague high court.

The foreign Policy star of the U.S. government - A War Criminal? Roger Morris, once a close Kissinger colleague on the National Security Council, is convinced of Kissinger's guilt and thus is calling for: "the same rights to apply to all". In other words, he believes that the case of Henry Kissinger as a war criminal must also be addressed. After all, Kissinger is personally responsible for the deployment of "weapons of mass destruction" during the Vietnam War as well as during the invasion of Cambodia. Recently released CIA documents indicate that Henry Kissinger could also be responsible for the 1970 assassination of Chile's Army Commander General René Schneider. The General's assassination was designed to facilitate the fall from power of Chile's then newly-elected president, Salvatore Allende. The General's family is convinced of Kissinger's guilt and is reviewing the charges against him. Colonel Wimert was serving as the US Military attaché in Santiago at the time. He was responsible for trafficking the blood money for the assassination and has been quoted as saying the following about Kissinger: "He's a liar!" Author Wilfried Huismann has studied the charges against Kissinger. He has spoken with many high-ranking officials and eyewitnesses and his findings have been meticulously documented. Based on the examples in Chile and Vietnam, the dark side of one of the best known political figures of the 20th century is being exposed.
