Nov. props bash teens, education, unions, etc.

by news4queers (SaveFreedom [at] yahoogroups.com)
In Ahnold's "special erection", on 8 November 2005, California voters weigh several bad ideas (props 74 thru 78);

followed by two good ones (79 and 80).
On the November California ballot,
the cruelest proposition comes first.
Here's the Associated Press summary:

" PROPOSITION 73, PARENTAL PERMISSION FOR ABORTION:
A constitutional amendment promoted by anti-abortion activists
that would require girls 17 and younger to get parental permission
to receive an abortion.
It is opposed by abortion-rights organizations that say many minors
live in homes where they risk emotional abuse
or physical violence,
or where the pregnancy is a result of incest. "
[ Note: This isn't the official summary; which may be worded in Legalese. ]

.....
[ Biased opinion:
Here's how SUN views the state-wide props,
(at least as of August):

73- anti-abortion and anti-teenager;
74- anti-teacher;
75- anti-union;
76- anti-education;
*77- anti-Legislature;
78- phony "evil twin" of good 79;

79- pro-consumer drug discounts;
80- pro-consumer attempt to re-regulate electricity sharks. ]
................

*[ Note: 77 had been removed from the state ballot;
but now it's back. ]
