Free Radio Santa Cruz: No On Prop 73 Interview with Cynthia Mathews

George Cadman was one of the leaders of the FRSC collective with "collective amnesia" of my 9 yr membership of this radio group.

I've produced "Bathrobespierres Broadsides" with host Robert Norse, since 1996. As a member of the collective, I attended dozens of meetings and voted on many issues, including passing the current criteria for membership.. Cadman however," forgets", that I was at these meetings and participated in my banishment----based entirely on her own desire to villify me for my positions critical of her bias against the Jewish state of Israel.

Cadman has had guest after guest spewing mis-information and biased accounts which exclusively bash Israel --including reporting on the air that 1500 Palestinians had been killed in Jenin in 2002 (the final death toll was 56).

Embarrassed, that one of their own members was raising critical issues, Cadman, Skidmark Bob, Uncle Dennis of Earth First! radio, and Phil Free (along with Bradley Allen and Matt Fitt---newer members who were not aware of my long record of service for FRSC including an FCC visit and having had my phone records subpoened by the FCC) voted in a meeting where I was physically prevented from attending that I was "not a member of the collective."

Since I was not allowed to face those making the charges, or speak in my own defense, this was done with an abomination of process.

Cadman is a liar. She was at several meetings where I attended and voted, but, was more than willing to create the fiction that "i was not a member" just to duck criticism of her own faulty journalism.

Free Radio is not Free.

They censor, they distort, they lie, and then they conspire to commit a coverup.

I mean, why SHOULD they tolerate you? You're probably just gathering intel for Lee Kaplan/JDL/JDO/ADL anyway! C'mon, just how fuckin stupid do you expect people to be?

i listened to the broadcast - i am impressed with the knowledge, values and courage of the interviewee and interviewer about the essential and central issue of womens' rights today.

i would strongly suggest that Becky be *very" careful about what she says. She should consult a lawyer with regard to her liability in legal action for slander or libel.

the fact that she was summarily booted out of radio free may reflect *very" poorly on becky's character and "abilities."

in my long experience with becky, i can honestly say that she tends to experience what i would refer to are "flights of fantasy" on subjects she knows little or nothing about.

i would highly recommend that becky come under closer scrutiny by websites trolled by her. what i have noticed is a very serious disconnection to reality, an unusual inclination to makes things up seemingly out of whole cloth,

I have never met "of Becky" in my life. So I doubt your "long experience" is anything other than a fictionalized account.

I do not hide behind a pseudonym, and everything I have reported above is true. Its not libel if its true.

Cadman IS a very good journalist and interviewer. She used to have some bottom line standards, but has departed from these in my case. Its sad to see her willing to fabricate information, take 180 degree position turns, and participate in a conspiracy to rewrite history.

The collective as a whole is also guilty of gross ingratitutude since Robert Norse and I have more than been on the frontlines of the microradio movement and have put ourselves at risk in doing so.

But when you challenge some FRSC programmers pet positions, suddenly you're persona non grata. I understand that people can disagree, but what Free Radio Santa Cruz has done here is the opposite of promoting free speech, an abomination of process, and has frightening elements reminiscent of the Salem Witch trials or the McCarthy hearings.

Loyalty oaths to some indefinite political position is not democratic, is not freedom of speech, and does not promote reporting the truth--which I have always understood the mission of FRSC to be.

What is happening at FRSC is a warning to activists everywhere. When you get a priviledged elite group, and the rules no longer apply to everyone, only bad things can follow.

The loss of integrity for Cadman and Free Radio will have far reaching consequences, none of them good.

Looks like Becky Johnson has made her way to the indybay site after trolling scimc for years with her vitriol against anyone who isn't a far-right Zionist.

Here is something she probably doesn't realize. An attack from Becky Johnson is like a badge of honor. It usually means that you stand your ground against racism and you don't pussyfoot around her for fear that she is going to fabricate lies against you.
