BND - Fur Free Friday

by Luxomedia (renegade [at] luxomedia.com)
Educating shoppers about where fur really comes from on Buy Nothing Day. Most fur comes from Chinese fur farms where the animals are treated inhumanely and skinned alive. Foxes, minks, rabbits, raccoons and dogs and cats are slaughtered in the name of fashion. The carcasses of the animals are ground up and fed back to the trapped animals.

I am pleased to see people standing up for issues they really care about and taking them public. Keep up the good works..

As for the whiners and complainers who think they dictate the purposes of indy media...

You are missing out on a great opportunity. Your asserted passion is for the hungry humans, Fine, You can write. You are passionate about the issue, It is YOUR responsibility to do something. You have the power, through indy media to write the article and post it. I suspect you even have a camers to take photos of the poor and starving.

So, where is your article?

The indy media readers and contributors are waiting for you to stop whining and get something done. Do it, post it!

Just think...If you were to take positive action then, you might even start a movement! You might make a difference in someone's life.

Then again, you might just choose to spend your time creating a little dark personal hell. Youe choice.

As for me, I stand with those courageous people who go out to the street corners. hold signs, challenge the assumptions of the system and use their lives to make a change. The mosquito like whining of the nay sayers won't even slow us down.

Solidarity,
Sludge
