Peoples Camera on The Flooding of Corte Madera Creek, Marin County
The awesome power of water, once again destroys a community, though this one is much better poised to survive than the unfortunate victims of hurricane Katrina. Corte Madera Creek is usually a calm trickle and even kayakable most of the year. Perhaps not today.
The corporate news does a pretty good job of reporting on disasters. This view

AnArChY RoXXor!!
Anarchy Rocks? Tell it to the fire dept when they rescue your ass in a flood, you stupid twit.
clearly you are using an irregular definition of anarchism. Anarchism is organization - people coordinate work and the economy and society's tasks without special people who act as supervisors and bosses.

Anyway, there are some independent businesses such as a day spa that were flooded in San Anselmo and Corte Madero.

When you actually see these things up close, in person, it's really different. It's real. It is also sad. The fire and police were actually doing their best in San Anselmo. Some idiot in Ross (MarinIJ) was blaming environmentalists for the flood because the town dissallowed the creek to be re-directed and severely modified....salmon spawn on this creek. Gonna go out now and video a watershed/creek zone in San Rafael that a developer wants to build 20 homes on....
It's bad when the store of a small artist or restauranteur are damaged by flooding. This is an area well known to the author... Corpse of Engineers creek channelization just downstream here has not helped anyone. Continued building and paving the surrounding hills and valleys prevents rainfall from seeping in... Rainfall is forced to rush to the nearest creek down roofs, paved streets and culverts and Presto, there ain't no room left in the creek....
Buildings near the creeks, safe from floods for decades are now flooded by the exaggerated mass of rainfall rushing in. Thank you mr. trophy house builder, you get your trophy, "The Public" gets to pay the "Disaster" bill. Your bill.
It happens in poor and middle class neighborhoods too. Too many people, too many streets, too many roofs in a limited watershed.
Destroying the creek and salmon won't have any effect on the Cause of the flooding problem. Ross has some people who know this, others with their heads in the mud.

It ain't gonna get any better, anywhere
