Hello all,
Attached is the Thirty Years is Enough fact sheet and petition. All
chapters should make copies of these and have available at tablings and
chapter meetings.
The petitions include a section for email and a "get involved" box. All
chapters should be sure to enter those wanting to get involved into their
local list serves and phone banking.

Completed petitions should be faxed to the national office,
773-955-4842, or mailed in - so we can gather the petitions together in one
clump and also so that we can invite all of those who have checked the "get
involved" box to join our national list serve.

HOW WILL WE USE OUR PETITIONS?
July 2nd is the thirty year anniversary of the Supreme Courts decision
that reinstated the death penalty in this country after a four year ban. An
event is held every year at the Supreme Court, and this year, abolitionist
groups are coming together using the thirty year anniversary to draw more
attention to the need for abolition. This is a place where we could present
our hundreds - thousands? of signatures to underline the growing sentiment
for abolition in this country.
