Some Anti-Immigrant Activists Have Known Connections with Racist Hate Groups

Interview with Mark Potok, director of the Southern Poverty Law Center, conducted by Scott Harris

In a series of giant protests demanding fair treatment and legalization, hundreds of thousands of immigrants and their supporters marched in more than 130 cities around the U.S. on April 10. A few days earlier, Dallas, saw more than half a million people come out for one of the largest protests in Texas history.

The unprecedented demonstrations, that many observers believe proclaimed the birth of a new civil rights movement, were triggered by provisions in legislation passed by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives that will make undocumented immigrants and those who assist them felons. Negotiations over other more moderate measures being considered in the Senate made little progress, but will be taken up again when Congress reconvenes after the Easter recess.

Although 63 percent of Americans surveyed in a recent Washington Post-ABC poll reject new laws that would criminalize undocumented immigrants already in the U.S., members of groups like the Minutemen, have been accused of acting as vigilantes and stirring up racism and xenophobia around the immigration issue. Between The Lines' Scott Harris spoke with Mark Potok, director of the Southern Poverty Law Center's Intelligence Project, who discusses known connections between anti-immigrant activists and extreme right wing and racist groups.

by Is SPLC a Zionist front group?
So the SPLC finally admits the Minutemen and other anti-immigrant groups are connected to neo-Nazis. Bravo, my slow thinking ass found this out almost a year ago, so i guess u could say the SPLC is a bit late in the day for revealing this info??

This brings out another issue with depending on biased organizations like the SPLC to do the job of monitoring hate groups. Sort of like depending on the FBI to monitor hate groups, this brings about the phrase "fox guarding the henhouse" as the SPLC may have some pro-Zionist bias that connects them to military weapons contracters like Lockheed Martin..

This from La Voz de Aztlan;

La Voz de Aztlan

Los Angeles, Alta California - September 23, 2002 - (ACN) Our readers and subscribers who have been with us since we first published our premiere issue on January 1, 2000 are well aware of the numerous attempts by Zionists to permanently silence La Voz de Aztlan. These extraordinary efforts by U.S. based, as well as by Israeli, Zionists are a consequence of our editorial policy that questions U.S. military aid to Israel provided for the purpose of enforcing the brutal occupation of Palestine. We are sad to report that their efforts to deny us our First Amendment Rights, as written in the U.S. Constitution, may have taken a more sinister approach.

The cowardly attempts by the Zionists to silence us have each time escalated to the point that they have now become clearly criminal in nature. At first the attempts were out in the open and consisted in simply applying political pressure on our publisher and staff through the arm twisting of Mexican-American elected officials and of officials in national Mexican-American organizations to force them to issue condemnations against La Voz de Aztlan. This phase produced a strongly written letter from Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina, a nationally published condemnation by the National Counsel, Thomas Saenz, of the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) and a condemnation published on the website of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) authored by its National President Raul Yzaguirre. In addition, during this phase, the ADL of B'nai B'rith and the Zionist front organization called the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) published a series of lies against La Voz de Aztlan that were intended to destroy the credibility of our news and information service.

One bigot from TRW Incorporated got fired when she was caught "in flagrante delicto" sending a threatening e-mail from her desk at TRW to La Voz de Aztlan. The same thing happened to another employee at, of all places, Lockheed Martin Corporation, the company that builds the F-16 fighter planes that are being utilized to bomb Palestinian civilians. "

Not everyone agrees with La Voz de Aztlan's ideas, yet why is their freedom of speech such a threat to the SPLC? Is critisizm of Zionist influences on US politicians considered "hate speech"? If people go another step and claim "Certain wealthy Jews are very vocal in influencing US political support of Zionist Israel.", would the SPLC consider that hate speech??

Even the leftists at Z-mag are hesitant about trusting SPLC;

"CounterPunch says SPLC purposefully creates hysteria and fears about the right wing and extremist groups to raise money. So far their strategy has worked: Dees and SPLC have built a $100 million endowment. "This is not the first time that the SPLC has covered for government thuggery," notes CounterPunch. The liberal publication said SPLC sided against Randy Weaver, "thus undercutting liberal outrage over the government’s violations of Weaver’s constitutional rights." Morris Dees and Southern Poverty Law Center

I began to see this long-term goal take shape when I learned in 1998 that with heavy lobbying from the ADL, the influential Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and its founder Morris Dees had for the first time in decades declared the Nation of Islam a "hate-group". This was a major development as the SPLC had traditionally targeted real hate groups that had for years physically attacked Blacks. The decision to include the NOI on the list was met with skepticism and suspicion by some Black groups but Dees, after admitting it wasn't an easy decision and that he was not fully informed of the NOI's track record, decided to maintain the "hate-group" designation. The Hate-Crimes Hoodwink at blackelectorate.com ... Interestingly, Black leaders and organizations did not speak out when the Nation of Islam was designated as a "hate-group" by Morris Dees Southern Poverty Law Center - an organization that works hand-in-hand with civil-rights organizations, the ADL and FBI and which is pushing for hate-crimes legislation that we believe is ultimately aimed at outlawing the Nation of Islam and other "unacceptable" groups in the Black community. A Deeper Look"

What if low income Euro-americans, African-americans, Arabs/Jews, Asians and Latino immigrants could see beyond racial and ethnic differences and become united on a class basis. Would the pro-Zionist military-industrial establishment of the Bush/Cheney regime hold out against mass resistance??

by theft by real estate developers
Here's an article from the La Voz de Aztlan website concerning the attack on the campesino run community garden by real estate mogul/developer Ralph Horowitz. The loss of a functional community garden that supplies healthy organic vegetables to lower income people to become another one of LA's million warehouses is a crime against nature and humanity. In this time of ecological crisis, we need community gardens 1 billion times more than another rat infested warehouse. Fuck Ralph Horowitz and the imperialist horse he rode in on..

Am glad that LaVoz de Aztlan is covering this issue, and isn't intimidated by the Zionists who attempt to stifle free speech at every turn. Just ask Cynthia McKinney, the congresswoman from Georgia about how her reputation sunk to new lows after she dared to critique the influence of AIPAC (American-Iasraeli Public Affairs Committee) on US politicians supporting increased militarism in Israel..

"Councilman Dennis Zine and his thugs pull gun on "campesinos""

by
Ernesto Cienfuegos

La Voz de Aztlan

Los Angeles, Alta California- April 13, 2006 - (ACN) Not many people are aware that Los Angeles has a powerful "Jewish Mafia" that is in cahoots with the Los Angeles Police Department and many local elected politicians. This fact is becoming clear to the "campesinos" who are attempting to defend their 14 acre farm in South Central Los Angeles from the sinister Jewish land developer Ralph Horowitz.

The South Central Farmers' Collectiva which is bounded by Alameda Street, 41st Street, Long Beach Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard was created 14 years ago after the "Los Angeles Rebellion of 1992" when then Mayor Tom Bradley allocated the city owned 14 acres for "marginalized families to become self-sufficient and grow their own food". The farm, operated like a Mexican "ejido", has been a huge success and is providing 347 families with essential fruits, vegetables and medicinal herbs.

Today, the South Central Farmers' Collectiva is in danger of being destroyed and the land taken over by Ralph Horowitz and his friends. Through "back room deals" and collusion with certain Jewish LA City Council members, Ralph Horowitz was given ownership of the land and he has now placed an "eviction notice" on the entrance to the farm.

Worst of all, Jewish LA Council member Dennis Zine is now terrorizing the farmers on behalf of Horowitz. In a press release by the South Central Farmers' Support Committee, Fernando Flores said that Councilman Dennis P. Zine and two unidentified thugs showed up at the farm in the dark and "brandished" a gun and "pointed it at a teenage girl who was present with her father." The incident occurred at 10 pm Tuesday night. Councilman Zine and the two thugs were driving a grey unmarked sedan with license plate "4KWR891", reported Mr. Flores. "One individual identified himself as Council Man Dennis P. Zine from the 3rd district. He was also identified as such by members of the South Central Farmers, who have been going to city council meetings twice a week for the last three years", said Fernando Flores.

Council member Dennis Zine does not represent South Central Los Angeles and was there, under cover of darkness, to harass the farmers who have been under constant vigil after being threaten with eviction.

Council member Dennis Zine is a former member of the corrupt LAPD and still has deep connections to the controversial police department. He, along with the LAPD, has formed an organization called P.O.S.S.E. (People Organized for a Safe Secure Environment). P.O.S.S.E. members, it turns out, are mere "enforcers" for the "Jewish Mafia". P.O.S.S.E. operates similarly to the much discredited and now defunct "CRASH" organization that was operating during the LAPD Ramparts Scandal. Unfortunately, P.O.S.S.E. has the full support of Police Chief Bill Bratton who came to LA from Jewish New York. Chief Bratton is married to a prominent Jewish attorney and has spent a large number of days, as LA Police Chief, in Israel. The purpose of his stays in Israel is to receive "training" by Israeli military and police authorities on how to deal with "the Mexicans and the Blacks in case they riot". Zionist Israel has a lot of practice in this department as exemplified by its clamp-down of the Palestinian people."

http://www.aztlan.net/jewish_mafia_terrorize_campesinos.htm

BTW, am not so stupid to believe that "All Jews" are Zionist mafia Mossad supporters, there are many Jewish people (Jews for Peace, Neue Kartei, Mordachai Vanunu) who are vocally opposed to the Israeli apartheid state and their Zionist supporters, nor are Jews the only supporters of Israel. Maybe if La Voz de Aztlan wants to increase their credibility they could run a few articles on the Christian Zionists like Pat Robertson (700 Club, Christian Broadcasting, etc..) Jerry Falwell and other Christian Zionists who finacially support military weapons contracters providing the Israeli military with more weapons of mass destruction. Or, as it could be concluded in the case of the Minutemen, the La Voz de Aztlan is another CIA front group playing the case of divide and conquer so imperialism marches on. Please prove me wrong..

Since i'm on a roll, would like to explain why the Minutemen are a CIA front group. Maybe some Minutemen supporters are naive enough to belive that they're accomplishing something, though the heirarchal leadership of Gilchrist is evidence that only certain ideas are put forth. That idea of the Minutemen is only the ineffective band-aid solution of patrolling the border wall, never looking at economic inequality (and therby challenging US imperialism) that creates the conditions of undocumented immigrants. Nor will the Minutemen attempt to expose the agribusiness corporations that exploit the undocumented workers, exposing them to carcinogenic pesticides for far below minimum wage. Since the neo-nazi groups themselves are CIA front groups, it follows that the Minutemen are of the same origin. Keep the working people divided so that the CEOs remain billionaires, leave the rest of US fighting over the crumbs. Hitler did the same thing in WW2 Germany to break the growing labor union organizing..

Let's not make the same mistake here. Unity of ALL working people can overcome the tyranny of corporatist fascists..
