According to Professor Michael Whitty, "Ending the drug war and drug testing of workers requires outreach to unions, minorities and other progressive groups. We have a common enemy, we need a common response. Our common ground is opposition to the prison-industrial complex and a rising police state, begun in part with the drug war." Participate in this networking event designed to brainstorm more effective ways of collaboration and coalition building between different issues and causes. Introduced by longtime, local labor activist Steve Zeltzer, who will give us a sneak peek at this year's upcoming Laborfest lineup. CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE AT WWW.MTBS.COM FOR A FULL LISTING OF EVENTS. MODERN TIMES IS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. ALL EVENTS ARE AT MODERN TIMES, FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.
