WHY: Children are more vulnerable than adults are to toxins in their environment. The growing bodies and systems of kids are extremely sensitive to the short and long-term impact of chemicals. The same exposure to a chemical that may be harmless to an adult can harm the development of the neurological, immune or reproductive systems of children and adolescents. California Safe Schools is committed to filling the protection gap for all students and the larger communities associated with schools.
