Last Night DIY website Re-Launch

Want to help make the Last Night DIY New Year's Celebration happen?

No need to ask permission. The idea of the Last Night parade is that it is everyone's celebration. So no one has to get the okay for anything we do. And no one has the right to stop you. Want to organize something? Do it! Talk to the press? Sure! Everyone will pitch in and everyone appreciates the help.

This is an exercise in rejecting the top-down paradigm that has been crammed down our throats from kindergarten onward. Don't speak up, don't talk without permission, ask before doing, keep your hands/thoughts/ideas/feelings to yourself. Fuck all that.

Need some fodder as you talk to folks? Check out the website: http://www.lastnightdiy.org but take it with a grain of salt -- that was last year's effort and we're growing and changing and taking more power for ourselves. If we need leadership we look within ourselves to become leaders of our own destiny and lives.

I took the liberty of rebuilding the Last Night website as a wiki. That means that anyone -- you, me, random strangers -- can update and change the site, add stuff to it, take notes, post images, etc. Every aspect of the site is changeable and evolving. This is part of an effort to make it so that there aren't a few people who control information about this people's event.
