Four years after the U.S. kidnapping of democratically elected President Jean Betrand Aristide, African people in Haiti are fiercely resisting genocidal levels of starvation imposed by their U.S.-backed neocolonial government.

African People’s Solidarity Committee Chairwoman Penny Hess interviews activist Jean Jafrikayiti Saint-Vil about the current crisis on the island where the first successful African revolution in the Western hemisphere took place 200 years ago.

Jafrikayiti was born in Haiti and currently lives in Canada where he is a journalist and activist organizing support for justice and liberation in Haiti.
