Battle Over Employee Free Choice Act Heats Up
50 corporate chief executives from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) descend on Washington D.C. to oppose the EFCA yesterday while thousands of workers deliver 1.5 Million signatures in Support of the Employee Free Choice Act.
WASHINGTON, D.C.-A delegation of approximately 50 corporate chief executive officers and senior corporate staff, all members of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), urged senators and members of Congress to oppose the Employee Free Choice Act, generally known as "card check." as thousands of Workers deliver 1.5 million signatures on petitions to Congress supporting passage of The Employee Free Choice Act.
Front groups like The Coalition for a Democratic Workplace have been spreading its anti-union busting propaganda claiming that the Employee Free Choice Act would takeaway a workers right to a secret ballot election which is NOT TRUE. It only adds another alternative to the process if 51% or more desire to form and/or organize a union.
New Poll by The Coalition for a Democratic Workplace is Nothing but a Big SCAM
A poll by McLaughlin & Associates falsely claims that 74 percent of voters oppose EFCA, and that even a majority of union households oppose it. A recent poll by The Coalition for a Democratic Workplace (CDW) shows that 73 percent of Obama voters oppose EFCA, and that more than 80 percent of Obama voters believe secret ballot elections are the best way to protect the individual rights of workers." However when you at the worded questions carefully you will see most workers would oppose the bill, including myself.
