The media's myth about "London small business owners"

Me: "Why do the BBC and other media make it seem like small businesses have been hit so hard, but when you walk down a high street you only see chain shops boarded up?"

This is a testament to the ability of the mainstream media to collude with people's misconceptions and fears and paint a picture which is generally the opposite of the truth.
