by michael harris (blackagriculture [at] yahoo.com)
2012 Annual California Black History Month Celebrations include historic Negro Hill, California one of the major California Gold Rush Communities. The stolen legacy continues and the "cover-up" of propable modern day hate crimes is marked by the celebration of the "Sacramento Crown Jewel" the American River Parkway. Willful and intentional apart hate of discounting the contributions of people of African Ancestry is a global story and reason to document and showcase authentic California History.

Sacramento, CA ~ The hidden legacy represented by the desecrated burial ground of early Negro Hills pioneers continues a "probable" Sacramento Regional Treasure cover-up of modern day hate crimes.

Federal and International assistance is requested to document (1840 -1865) African Americans along the “Sacramento Crown Jewel,” the American River Parkway, sadly the ongoing silence and "members only" change merits an official investigation.

Our annual Interfaith Prayer Circle seeks to bring together a positive supporters, “New Way Forward, Healing What is Hurting America.”
Together, we will highlight trust and integrity building a positive new beginning after removing 36 grave markers documenting the historic contribution by people of African ancestry along the American River Parkway.

Today, source documentaton no longer is available, “Unknown, moved from Nigger Hill Cemetery, by the U.S. Government in 1954” has become another "stolen legacy."

Negro Hills, California will forever be recognized as an extraordinary early Gold Rush community and an United Nations site to celebrate the historical legacy of the free migration of people of African ancestry yearning for a greater measure of freedom.

Today, California State Historical Landmark No. 570, remains missing and an ongoing silence toward a pubic/private partnership to document authentic historical preservation of African Americans along the American River Parkway time line is marked, Black History Month 2012.

A small portion Negro Hills Cemetery was relocated during the 1954 construction of Folsom Dam; and is the salient consideration to authorize our proposed U.S. Cultural Resource Study that may surpass the essential requirements necessary to establish a Negro Hill U.S. National Monument.

Interfaith leaders will join us in prayer as we come together showcasing dignity and respect for the early California Gold Rush Pioneers of African Ancestry.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
