In spring 2015 we travelled to Paris and made some video-interviews with the local comrades. The result was the antifa documentary movie „Une vie de lutte“ about the left-wing activist Clément Méric, who was murdered by fascists in 2013, the swing to the right in France and current antifascist struggles in Paris.
In early june 2016 we were in Paris again to join the demonstration in commemoration of Clément. In the course of this trip we met the comrades again and got to know many other people with whom we could record some interesting interviews about the current political situation in France.
Now we’ll produce another documentary movie about the commemoration of Clément and the new social movement ‚Nuit Debout‘ and its potential for political change. Furthermore it will take a closer look at the threat of the french political right and the state repression and the police violence in a country, which is still in the state of emergency after the attacks in 2015.
With the help of donations we could already pay a part of our costs for the trip and the film production. For a complete refinancing of the project we still need your support by donating.
The project is completety noncommercial and is made to hint at political developments and to inform and inspire activists and interested people.
Clément Méric – à jamais dans nos luttes!
Remembering means fighting!
