Bicyclists Sue Sacramento Police
Bicyclists are suing the Sacramento Police Department for civil rights violations. Police have repeatedly suppressed first amendment events known as "Critical Mass", at least two attempts at which were killed by police abuses. The Bicycle Civil Liberties Union is organizing the lawsuit on behalf of demonstrators. Press conference Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at noon in front of the Federal Courthouse in Sacramento....

CHP -- the only terrorists on GG Bridge today
The only "terrorists" to be found on Golden Gate Bridge today were the California Highway Patrol. In full riot armor, with teargas bombs strapped to their chest, the CHP attacked people young and old, hitting them with metal nightsticks and spraying chemicals into their faces. A young 14-year-old girl was beaten repeatedly, and arrested. Over 25 other people were arrested....
