Bridesmaid no more! Don't forget to join the big fat Greek sex wedding party!
Cuz, after years of philandering...

Barney Schlockum is finally getting married!
(and then going back to being a big whore, giving new meaning to the phrase
"receiving line")

Ceremony:
8PM, Comet Club, 3111 Fillmore Street

Reception:
The streets of the Marina thereafter

Transportation corrections:
Take the 22to Lombard. Get off and walk back a half block (it's on the right).
Other routes: 28 or 43 apparently

Also: Kids, get geared up for Trannyshack Reno, April 10-11! Last year, a bunch of
GQBers went and were rendered speechless, truly speechless by the experience. This
year, we're thinking of taking it up a notch and doing a full-on GQB crawl through
glamorous downtown Reno. See below, or check out the "deets" on Peaches Christ's
web site: http://www.peacheschrist.com/index2.html

If you're interested, shoot an email back and maybe we'll score GQBers some tickets,
take over a bus, and make a go of it :)

And now a word from Peaches Christ:

I'm pleased to announce to you what your Easter Weekend plans will be. I declare
that you and a friend will be traveling with Martiny and I, all the way to Reno!
That's right ladies and stuff... we are hostessing the annual Trannyshack Reno Bus
Adventure. I'm going to post the press release about it below and would like to
encourage folks to buy tickets next week. Last year, the bus tickets sold out
pretty quickly. One important note- when you buy your ticket it would be helpful to
know who you'd like to share your room with. You do not have to have a roommate,
but we will eventually assign you one. I'm warning you all that Squeaky Blonde is
seriously threatening to come. She could be assigned to be your roommate if you
leave yourself open for that sort of thing. Now, read this press release in its
entirety because it's damn fierce. I totally wrote it!

Fiercely yours,
Peaches

ps- go girl!

Heklina is proud to announce that the seventh annual Trannyshack Reno road-trip will
take place on Easter weekend, April 10th-11th 2004. This trip has a notorious
reputation for being one of the most outrageous events of the year! Find out what
happens when San Francisco¹s most flamboyant and irreverent drag queens, drag kings,
faux queens, and those that defy description mount a Trannyshack show in the biggest
little city in the world; Reno, Nevada. But wait! The show is merely the focal
point, around which an entire adventure awaits.

Peaches Christ is the tour guide of a round-trip bus phenomenon that has quickly
become drag legend. Ms. Christ will hostess the journey, complete with an on-board
fashion show, video entertainment, live performance, and more. Enjoy participating
in cultural liberation at rest-stops and fast food restaurants along the way.
Return trip tradition dictates that prizes will be awarded for best drag, most
original, and drunkest.

The bus departs from SF at noon on Saturday, April 10th. Bus passengers will enjoy
fabulous accommodations at the Cal Neva Hotel Casino for their overnight stay. The
Trannyshack show happens Saturday night at Reno¹s popular Cadillac Lounge and starts
at midnight. Bus passengers will check-out on Sunday morning and head to Boomtown
for Easter brunch and last-minute gambling. The busses will then head back to SF
for a Sunday evening arrival.

$100 tickets include round-trip coach bus fare, a one night stay at the Cal Neva
Hotel, and admission to the Trannyshack show at the Cadillac lounge.

Tickets are available for purchase at the Bridge Theatre, 3010 Geary Blvd,
415-751-3213. Cash and personal checks accepted. Please check
http://www.peacheschrist.com for further ticket purchasing information and availability.

Finally:
From the "laugh or cry" department -- Arnold Schwarzenegger, March 2004: "I think
since we have a state law, I think those issues should be left to the state. So, I
have no use for a constitutional amendment or change in that at all."

The amendment rebuke is great, but let's not forget that we left "those [pesky human
rights] issues" to the individual States during the 19th and 20th centuries. Viva
slavery! Viva Jim Crow! So, Arnie: should California be a slave state or a free
state?
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
