The Islais Creek Bridge now being built by San Francisco Port Authority will contribute to pollution and death. Millions of vehicles will spew dangerous particulates that will adversely impact the Bayview area. The Bay is already polluted and with this new bridge more pollution will adversely impact the Bay. Community Policing in San Francisco
Community Policing is about Quality of Life issues and how best to deliver them to any given community. Of course the Law Enforcement element is a fraction of this keen delivery system. Local leaders, economics, the business community, civic and church leaders, community based organization, anyone that has anything to do with social deliveries all work to make good stuff happen. The seniors have a role, children have a role and of course youth have a role. In San Francisco the Mayor has put C...

From Cesar Chavez Street, Highway 101, the San Francisco/San Mateo County line, the whole of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, to the San Francisco Bay all this has been declared a Project Area with the blessing of Mayor Gavin Newsom without any meaningful public input. Excavate the landfill ... and then let’s talk!
“The Navy has yet to put forward a formal plan for cleaning up or removing the landfill. Navy officials have said they are considering creating a permanent cap and leaving the landfill in place. Any plan would require EPA approval, which is not likely in the immediate future. The EPA has not taken a position on the landfill,” says Michael Work, one of the project mangers for the Hunters Point Shipyard Superfund cleanup....
